Elect Black Women PAC likes to shine a spotlight on Black women candidates who when elected will serve their district well. Yolonda “Yonnee” Fortson is a candidate who always steps up to serve, who as a former educator will bring a wealth of knowledge to the position, and as a member of the Jennings community will have her finger on the pulse to address community needs.

Yonnee is a former Councilwoman for the Jennings City Commission and Commissioner the Jennings Planning Commission Board. Since 2008, she’s served as an educator in the St. Louis Public School system.

She is also very involved in her church where she is the Vice President of both the choir and ushering board ministries. She is a member of the praise team and as of November 2020 serves on the Church’s executive board.

She joined the NAACP — St. Louis County chapter in 2020 and she volunteers with Better Family life and Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. Her volunteer focus is community cleanups and food distribution.

Not to leave out she is also a mother to two wonderful sons.

In other words, it’s abundantly clear how much Yonnee cares about her community.

This is why Elect Black Women PAC is highlighting Yonnee Fortson as a Race to Watch! Be sure to donate to and endorse Yonnee!
